Israel's ambassador to the UN, former Knesset member Danny Danon, commented on the effects of such a move on global public opinion.
In an interview with Radio 103FM, Danon said: "From an international point of view, this is an event that we are dealing with relatively successfully. We have information that there were and maybe there are abductees in the area."
