Suspected Cyber Attack at Ziv Hospital in Safed

An incident suspected of being a cyber attack was detected at the hospital. The hospital reported that the incident was detected and stopped without disruption or impact on the various systems.

The Ziv Medical Center in Safed announced today (Monday) that a suspected cyber incident was recently detected in the medical center's computer systems. At this point, the incident was identified and contained without disrupting or affecting the various systems and the operation of the medical center.

The hospital emphasizes that the hospital operates as usual and provides medical treatments. They also say that the information security teams of Ziv, the Ministry of Health and the National Cyber ​​System have begun to investigate the incident, including looking into whether an information leak occurred and its nature.

As a precautionary measure and to strengthen the protections, proactive actions were taken that limit, among other things, the sending and receiving of email outside the hospital, as well as some computer services were temporarily disconnected.
