A group of Orthodox Jewish Israelis, including Rabbi Simcha Krakowski, head of the Beis Hatavshil organization in Bnei Brak, faced antisemitic harassment at Kraków Airport in Poland while awaiting a flight back to Israel.

The incident occurred when an individual wearing what appeared to be an airport staff badge confronted the group aggressively, shouting questions like "Why are you in Poland?" and physically lunging at one member.

Video footage of the confrontation has circulated widely on social media, drawing condemnation from Jewish communities and advocacy groups. Rabbi Krakowski, who was part of a delegation visiting Poland, described the event as a stark reminder of persistent antisemitism in the region.

The harassment comes amid reports of rising antisemitic incidents in Poland, with monitoring organizations documenting 894 cases in 2023 alone, a 91% increase from previous years. Airport authorities have not issued a public statement on the matter as of yet, and it remains unclear if the individual was an actual employee or if any arrests were made.
