Hold onto your stand-up mics: “Bad Boy,” the Israeli series that turned a juvie detention center into a Netflix throne, is officially returning for Season 2 on HOT, because apparently one Emmy nomination, seven Israeli Academy Awards, and a Berlin Series Prize weren’t enough.

The show, created by Ron Leshem (Euphoria), Hagar Ben-Asher, and Daniel Chen (who lived the story before he wrote it), follows Din Shayman (Guy Mansur), a teen framed for a crime, bouncing between prison beatdowns and adult comedy stages. Think Orange Is the New Black meets Curb Your Enthusiasm, but with more Hebrew cursing and animated trauma sequences.

Since launching on Netflix in May 2025, Season 1 topped non-English charts in 45 countries, racked up 1.7 million views in its first month, and became the first Israeli series at TIFF. It’s now an International Emmy finalist, winners drop next month.

Uri Gal, HOT’s content boss, is already hyping Season 2: "After ‘Bad Boy’s’ emotional journey and exceptional global recognition, we’re thrilled for Season 2. It embodies our vision: bold, moving Israeli TV that resonates worldwide. Viewers can expect a powerful, surprising season — no less than the first."

Emilio Schenker of SIPUR added: “"Season 2 is a natural continuation of a story that captured hearts in Israel and abroad. It’s further proof of the strength of local stories to cross borders and cultures. We’re proud to continue our fruitful partnership with HOT."

Production kicks off early 2026. No premiere date yet, but expect late 2026 on HOT, with Netflix likely to follow.

So yeah, the bad boy’s coming home. And this time, he’s bringing receipts.
