Global Outrage
She Called It “Legendary”: Azealia Banks Defends Kanye’s Nazi Track
While global outrage grows, rapper Azealia Banks calls Ye’s Nazi anthem a justified provocation. Critics accuse her of normalizing antisemitism.

Kanye West, now known as Ye, has sparked international condemnation with his unreleased track “Heil Hitler,” previewed during an April 2025 livestream. The song, part of his forthcoming album Cuck (previously WW3), contains explicit Nazi references, but that hasn't stopped Black rapper Azealia Banks from expressing enthusiastic support for “Heil Hitler” in a series of X posts today.
She wrote, “Kanye is back on track to being the most legendary artist across all mediums again I fear… A very masterful serve,” and described the song as a “troll game” that the public “deserves” for vilifying hip-hop artists.
Banks praised Ye’s defiance, stating, “I’m really proud of him… U can’t get any wilder than the last four years of Kanye coming to a head like this.” She also laughed at the “absurdity” of “four black guys jumping around in the club singing ‘nigga heil Hitler,’.
Banks’ posts frame Ye’s antisemitic rhetoric as a rebellious response to media scrutiny and industry pressures, suggesting he is reclaiming power through provocation.
She also speculated about a potential collaboration with Drake, claiming both artists have surpassed Jay-Z in cultural impact, further tying Ye’s actions to a broader narrative of hip-hop legacy.
Her endorsement has drawn sharp criticism on X, with users like@koshercockney questioning the music industry’s silence, writing, “Why is nobody in the music industry calling this out?!”
The music industry’s response remains muted, with no major artists publicly condemning Ye’s actions.
The ADL has urged streaming platforms to reject the song, and its release prospects remain uncertain after a public outcry.
