Yosef Haddad Steals the Show on Eretz Nehederet, Turning Airport Security Into Comedy Goldmine | WATCH

Haddad pops up in a sketch riffing on airport security paranoia and profiling at Ben Gurion, as he navigates the chaos of "suspicious" names and accents in a post-trauma Israel.

Israel is collectively crying laughing this morning after Eretz Nehederet dropped the funniest five minutes of television you’ll see all year.In last night’s Season 21 finale, the legendary satire show built an entire sketch around what happens when Yoseph Haddad, the human megaphone of Arab-Israeli Zionism, tries to board a flight at Ben Gurion… in the Eretz Nehederet universe.

Spoiler: he never makes it past security.

The bit is pure chaos: Haddad gets the full post-Oct 7 treatment, bags searched, questions fired, metal detector screaming like it’s auditioning for Eurovision. And because it’s Haddad, he doesn’t just answer; he turns the whole thing into a hasbara rally.

Security: “Sir, why do you have 47 Israeli flags in your carry-on?”

Haddad: “Because I’m prouder than YOU, bro!”

The punchlines hit on the irony of a pro-Israel Arab guy getting side-eyed harder than anyone—think over-the-top security theater mixed with his signature bravado, like him turning a pat-down into a hasbara TED Talk ("I'm prouder than you to be Israeli, now let me through!"). Critics are raving it's one of the episode's highlights, blending laughs with a sly nod to minority Zionists feeling like outsiders at home. Israel Hayom called it "brilliant" for spotlighting how even allies like Haddad get caught in the suspicion net.

The crowd loses it. Twitter loses it. Even the real Yosef Haddad lost it, posting the clip at 8 a.m. with the caption:

“What happens when I arrive at Eretz Nehederet’s airport? Watch till the end, I obviously used the opportunity to drop truth.”

400k views and counting. The laughing-crying emoji is officially out of stock.

This isn’t the show’s first time roasting/loving on Haddad (remember when they made him “Deputy Minister of Hasbara” and he stormed the studio yelling “We’re in the Middle East, act like it!”?), but last night’s airport sketch is next-level. It’s hilarious, it’s brutal, it’s painfully Israeli, and somehow still ends with everyone clapping for the guy.

Moral of the story: in 2025 Israel, even the loudest patriot with a prosthetic foot from Lebanon ’06 still gets the “random” pat-down.

And somehow we’re all laughing about it.Grab tissues (for the tears of laughter) and go watch it now. Your day will thank you.
