In a heartwarming moment captured on video, former hostages Guy Gilboa-Dalal and Evyatar David, who have been inseparable friends since kindergarten, reunited today after being freed from more than two years of captivity by Hamas.

The two 24-year-olds were abducted together from the Nova Music Festival in southern Israel during the October 7, 2023, attacks, where they had been celebrating with friends.

Held captive in Gaza, they endured unimaginable hardships, including being separated by their captors about two months before their release as part of a recent hostage exchange deal.

The reunion took place at a hospital in Israel, where both men are receiving medical care following their ordeal.

Footage shows the pair embracing tearfully, a poignant symbol of resilience amid the broader hostage crisis that has gripped families for over 730 days.

Gilboa-Dalal, whose brother escaped the festival attack, appeared visibly changed upon release, highlighting the physical and emotional toll of captivity.

David, who had been featured in Hamas propaganda videos showing him in a malnourished and emaciated state and forced to dig his own grave, shared the embrace with his lifelong friend, marking a new chapter for both.

This reunion comes as part of a larger release that included 18 other living hostages held by Hamas since October 7th.
