Following a week of strict judicial silence, the Ashkelon Magistrate's Court has partially lifted a gag order on a sensitive security investigation currently rocking the defense establishment.

While most details remain classified, the court authorized the publication of a single, defining sentence: "An investigation is currently underway into a multi-participant affair involving the smuggling of goods from Israel into the Gaza Strip."

The case is being spearheaded by the Shin Bet (ISA) in coordination with the Israel Police. Despite the massive scale implied by the phrase "multi-participant," all other details, including the identities of the suspects, the nature of the smuggled goods, and the specific border points involved, remain under a strict gag order.

The affair has already generated significant "underground" noise. Yesterday, Rabbi Yosef Zini, father of Shin Bet head David Zini, released a defiant message on WhatsApp that has since gone viral.

"We have no doubt whatsoever that this is all a blatant lie," Rabbi Zini wrote. "Even if they bring a video or photos that supposedly prove it, there is no doubt it was all fabricated to harm the 'suspect' and his family. Anyone who believes this story is aiding the shedding of righteous blood."

While the Rabbi did not name a specific suspect, various reporters and observers have linked his public defense to the central figures in the smuggling probe.

The revelation comes at a critical time as the U.S. and Israel finalize plans for the "National Committee for the Administration of Gaza." The discovery of a domestic smuggling ring funneling goods into the Strip raises serious questions about border integrity and internal security oversight.
