Around 20 Arabs from Judea and Samaria breached Israeli military checkpoints and entered the Jenin refugee camp, the IDF said, in what it described as an unauthorized entry into a closed military zone.

According to military sources, dozens of individuals broke through barricades set up around the camp, which has been designated off-limits amid ongoing security operations. At least 11 suspects were detained by Israeli forces, with most of those involved reportedly apprehended.

All detainees are being questioned by the Shin Bet, while IDF troops continue searches in the area to locate additional suspects and determine how the breach occurred.

The military noted that civilian entries into the area are typically coordinated in advance through the Civil Administration, allowing local Arabs to retrieve belongings or equipment. In this case, officials said, the entry was carried out without prior coordination.

The incident comes as Israeli forces maintain an active presence in and around Jenin, where operations targeting terrorist infrastructure have been ongoing.
