Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met today (Tuesday) with Argentina's President Javier Milei at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem.

President Milei praised Prime Minister Netanyahu's strength "in managing the multi-front war and expressed unqualified support for the State of Israel and the righteousness of its path." He then added that Israel's victory in the war would constitute a victory for the entire Western world, according to the Prime Minister's Office statement.

Subsequently, Prime Minister Netanyahu complimented President Milei on the market economy policy he is leading in his country, which greatly contributes to the state's prosperity and transformation.

At the end of the meeting, the two leaders agreed to continue maintaining close personal contact and to increase cooperation between the two countries.

Earlier today we reported that during the meeting, Prime Minister Netanyahu mentioned his conversation and meeting with the Chabad Rebbe of blessed memory decades ago when he was before entering politics, and told about the famous blessing in which he blessed him that he would face 119 Knesset members but would not be deterred.

And this is what the Prime Minister told the President of Argentina:

Netanyahu: "The first time I came to see the Rebbe - four years before this picture was taken - he told me, 'You know, you're going to the UN, you're going to a house of lies, a house of darkness, light a single candle, people will see this light, the truth from afar.'

He wanted me to stay at the UN, I said I'm returning, he told me you will return and you will need to fight against the 119, the other Knesset members (we have 120 Knesset members) he didn't even give me one. I thought he was exaggerating, but he was right. But he said, don't despair, because God is with you, and you must win. This is recorded, this is what he said here. So this is very precious to me. Thank you."
