Re'im Massacre Commander Eliminated! IDF Confirms Strike on Nukhba Terrorist 

IDF and ISA eliminate senior Hamas Nukhba commander Hasan Hussein, who led the October 7 Re'im shelter massacre and civilian abductions. 

One less terrorist!

In a significant blow to the terrorist infrastructure of Hamas's elite forces, a joint operation by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Israel Security Agency (ISA) has successfully eliminated Hasan Mahmoud Hasan Hussein, a senior Nukhba commander. The targeted strike, which occurred on September 28, 2025, marks the removal of a high-value operative directly responsible for commanding atrocities during the October 7 massacre.

Hussein, who served as a Nukhba company commander in the Bureij Battalion of Hamas's Central Camps Brigade, was identified as a key figure in the initial devastating onslaught against Israeli communities.

Direct Role in October 7 Atrocities

According to intelligence released by Israeli defense agencies, Hussein’s actions included:

  • Commanding the Massacre at the Re'im Shelter: He personally led the attack on the civilian shelter in Re'im on October 7, an event that saw numerous Israeli casualties.
  • Participating in Civilian Abductions: Hussein was directly involved in the abduction of Israeli civilians, forcibly transporting them into the Gaza Strip.

Furthermore, beyond the initial massacres, the terrorist was instrumental in directing, leading, and executing numerous subsequent terrorist attacks against IDF troops operating inside Gaza during the ongoing conflict.
