IDF forces eliminated a senior suspect this evening (Wednesday) who barricaded himself in a building in the Nur Shams refugee camp, in an operation which lasted four hours and included exchanges of fire. The terrorists also eliminated two armed terrorists who tried to escape the house the suspect was hiding in.

The IDF stated that the soldiers applied the “pressure cooker” method on the structure in which the suspect, Mu’tasim Ali, a senior terror activists suspected of past hostile actions against the IDF and terrorism, was hiding. The soldiers also located weapons to be handled by security forces. No casualties were reported among the IDF.

A defense source said that “the best defense of the residents of Judea and Samaria is the continue intensive offensive action, arresting suspects, and eliminating terrorists from the air and on land.” According to him, over 350 terrorists were eliminated and 3,000 arrested since the war began in over 150 different operations.
