IDF identifies body of slain medic, eight months after October 7

The medic, Dolev Yehud, was originally thought to have been taken hostage before his remains were finally identified. His sister is being held captive in Gaza.

The IDF located the body of Dolev Yehud, ob"m in Nir Oz, after an intense investigation by the Eitan Missing Persons Unit, with the aid of anthropologists and after scientific identification.

Yehud, a member of Kibbutz Nir Oz, was a medic for United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom. During October 7, he left his home to try and save lives.

He was murdered that day, and his body has now been located in the kibbutz.

His sister is being held captive in Gaza.
