WATCH: Seven terrorists eliminated, terror tunnel destroyed, in counterterror op in Tulkarm
Senior terrorist among those killed as security forces dismantle key network in 2-day operation.
In a coordinated two-day counterterrorism operation, the IDF, Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), and Border Police forces eliminated seven terrorists and destroyed a terror tunnel in the Tulkarm area.
The joint operation included multiple airstrikes by the Israeli Air Force (IAF) targeting armed terrorist cells, close-quarter confrontations, and the dismantling of dozens of hidden explosive devices buried beneath roads. Security forces also apprehended several suspects and seized a cache of weapons.
Among the eliminated were Qusai Amin Ibrahim Oqasha, a senior operative in the Tulkarm terror network, who had succeeded Tarek Doush, another key figure eliminated last week in a targeted aerial strike. Jomaa Salam Ubaid and Imran Harun, another senior member of the same network, were also killed during the operation.
A strategic terror tunnel, previously exposed and stretching 14 meters near Tulkarm, was destroyed during the mission. Located just hundreds of meters from Israel’s Highway 6, the tunnel posed a significant threat.
