IDF Central Command Commanding Officer Avi Bluth signed an official order on Thursday granting jurisdictional recognition to the Judea and Samaria communities of Ahiya and Adorayim. This landmark decision paves the way for expanded construction and development in the region.

The move follows sustained efforts by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, Minister Orit Strook, and Settlement Administration Head Yehuda Eliyahu, who have advocated for formal recognition of these communities.

Binyamin Governor Yisrael Ganz welcomed the decision, writing to the residents of Ahiya in the Binyamin Region: "This is a significant step that enables the continued advancement of the city construction plan recently approved by the regional council's Planning and Construction Board. It marks critical progress in the community’s recognition process, allowing for further planning and development."

In an interview with Arutz Sheva-Israel National News, Ganz emphasized the broader implications of the move: "Recently, we’ve seen substantial steps by the government to advance Jewish settlement. This decision strengthens Israeli presence in the area and corrects an injustice that has long denied civil rights to the pioneers at the forefront of Israeli society."
