Defense Minister Israel Katz just released the following statement today (Thursday) regarding IDF strikes in Lebanon:
"The IDF is now forcefully attacking terrorist infrastructure of the terrorist organization Hezbollah in Lebanon, including at Hezbollah's largest precision missile production site that was attacked in the past, alongside additional sites that Hezbollah is trying to rehabilitate.
"As I emphasized - the policy of maximum enforcement against Hezbollah will continue.
"Any attempt by the terrorist organization to recover, re-establish itself, or threaten - will be met with uncompromising force.
"The Lebanese government bears responsibility for preventing violations of the ceasefire agreement - we will not allow Hezbollah to threaten the residents of the North and all Israeli citizens."
The IDF just released the following statement regarding the strike:
"A short while ago, the IDF struck infrastructure that was used for producing and storing strategic weapons in the Beqaa area and in southern Lebanon.
"Among the targets struck were explosive manufacturing sites, which were used to develop Hezbollah's weaponry, as well as an underground site for the production and storage of strategic weapons. The Hezbollah terrorist organization tried to rehabilitate the sites and capabilities, actions that constitute a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.
