IDF Duvdevan Unit commandos arrested a terrorist in Beituniya, in the Ramallah sector, who was preparing to carry out a shooting attack. Operating on Shin Bet intelligence, the forces detained Ismail Ankayo along with an additional wanted individual following a week-long manhunt.
Ankayo had been planning to execute a shooting attack in the immediate timeframe before his capture. The operation successfully prevented the planned terror attack from being carried out.
The IDF stated: "IDF forces will continue to operate with initiative and offensively to thwart terror and bring to justice anyone who seeks to harm the citizens of the State of Israel."
