Conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was murdered earlier this month, privately advised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on how to counter growing anti-Israel sentiment in the United States, especially among Gen Z, according to a letter obtained by the New York Post.

In a May 2 letter, Kirk expressed alarm over “anti-Israel and antisemitic trends reaching peak levels on social media,” describing one of his “greatest joys as a Christian” as advocating for Israel and building alliances with Jews.

“My team and I have spent months analyzing these trends and discussing ideas that could help you and your country push back against these disturbing developments,” Kirk wrote. “Anti-Israel sentiment could undermine American support for Israel.”

Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA, argued that Israel was “losing the information war” and needed a “media intervention.”

He criticized Netanyahu’s office for outsourcing public messaging to U.S. surrogates and said he often felt he was defending Israel more forcefully than the Prime Minister’s own staff.

The letter listed common hostile questions raised on U.S. campuses, including accusations of apartheid, ethnic cleansing, and U.S. subsidy of “genocide against Palestinians.”

Kirk noted: “If I defend Israel too strongly, I’m accused of being a paid apologist. If I don’t defend Israel strongly enough, I’m accused of antisemitism.”

Seven Proposals for “Winning the Information War”

Kirk outlined seven recommendations for shifting public opinion, including:

“Antisemitism and anti-Israel propaganda fill the void when you don’t push back,” Kirk warned. “Israel is losing support even among conservatives, this should be a five-alarm fire.”

Netanyahu publicly referred to Kirk’s letter on September 18, just over a week after Kirk was gunned down during a “American Comeback” speaking event at Utah Valley University. The Prime Minister cited the note to rebut “monstrous lies” suggesting Israel was behind Kirk’s murder.

Commentators like Candace Owens had claimed Kirk was blackmailed into defending Israel, while billionaire investor Bill Ackman released private text messages contradicting those claims.

Kirk was shot on September 10 while delivering a campus address.

He was rushed to a hospital but later died of his wounds.

Police arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson the following day; he now faces capital murder charges and could receive the death penalty.
