Netanyahu Hails Hostage Deal as "Great Day for Israel"
Netanyahu Credits Trump and IDF for Breakthrough in Hostage Negotiations

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the historic breakthrough in the ongoing conflict with Hamas, is a "great day for Israel."
In a statement, Netanyahu revealed his intention to convene the government in a few hours in order to approve an agreement aimed at securing the release of all remaining hostages held in Gaza and have the IDF withdraw from the Gaza strip.
This marks the turning point in the nearly two-year-long war that began with Hamas massacare on October 7, 2023.
Netanyahu expressed gratitude to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and security forces, crediting their bravery and sacrifices for making this moment possible.
He also extended heartfelt thanks to President Donald Trump and his team for their efforts in facilitating the deal, emphasizing the sacred nature of the mission to bring the hostages home.
The agreement, part of a broader peace plan endorsed by Trump, includes provisions for the release of hostages in exchange for Palestinian terrorists and a phased withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
Despite Hamas's acceptance and ongoing negotiations on certain terms, Netanyahu remains optimistic, stating, "With the help of the Almighty, together we will continue to achieve all our goals and expand peace with our neighbors."
This announcement comes amidst heightened tensions and military operations in Gaza, with Netanyahu vowing to ensure Hamas's disarmament, either through diplomatic means or military action. The deal, if finalized, could signify a step towards ending the conflict, though significant challenges remain in its implementation.
