Gaza Aid Restarts Soon
Gaza Aid Will Flow Again — But Hamas Won’t Touch It
Humanitarian aid to Gaza will resume in two weeks under a U.S.-Israel plan that blocks Hamas from seizing supplies. Private American firms will deliver aid directly to families, with the IDF securing safe distribution.

In a significant development, humanitarian aid to Gaza is poised to resume in approximately two weeks, according to a report by Channel 12 News. Israeli security officials have outlined a plan, still pending final approval, to deliver substantial aid through a novel system managed by private American companies. These firms will take charge of directly distributing food packages and essential supplies to Gaza residents, with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) providing security to ensure safe and uninterrupted delivery.
The initiative aims to deliver basic aid packages to each Gaza family, designed to meet essential needs for seven days. Each package will include fundamental foodstuffs and critical supplies, bypassing local intermediaries to prevent Hamas from seizing control of the aid. The organizers emphasize that this direct distribution model is intended to block Hamas from exploiting the aid to support its operatives or manipulate the population. The IDF also refuted a recent claim that a truck carrying 75,000 liters of aid entered Gaza, with military sources labeling the report inaccurate and disconnected from the situation on the ground.
At a press conference on May 9, 2025, U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee confirmed Israel’s support for resuming humanitarian aid, aligning with demands from U.S. President Donald Trump. Huckabee detailed that while the IDF will secure the distribution process, it will not handle the aid directly, and Hamas will be explicitly excluded from participation. This coordinated effort reflects a strategic approach to address Gaza’s humanitarian needs while mitigating risks of aid misuse, marking a critical step toward stabilizing the region amidst ongoing tensions.
