BREAKING: Hamas to release American-Israeli hostage Edan Alexander

Hamas is set to release American-Israeli hostage Edan Alexander today (Sunday), according to Axios reporter Barak Ravid.

Ravid said that according to a source "familiar with the matter," US Envoy Steve Witkoff will come to Israel tomorrow to close up the remaining lose ends to secure Alexander's release. Ravid also said that Witkoff updated Alexander's family regarding his imminent release from Hamas captivity.

Ravid further said that Hamas will officially announce the decision tonight.

Prime Minister Netanyahu said in a closed session before the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee that one of the possible deals includes the release of a small number of hostages, including just Edan Alexander.
