IDF Airstrikes Take Out Two Hezbollah Terrorists
Watch: Israel eliminates Hezbollah spies gathering intel near border
The Israeli military carried out targeted airstrikes in southern Lebanon, eliminating two Hezbollah operatives engaged in intelligence activities near the border. The actions are part of Israel’s ongoing efforts to counter terrorist threats and prevent cross-border attacks from Hezbollah.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Thursday that it conducted precise airstrikes in southern Lebanon, successfully eliminating two Hezbollah operatives involved in intelligence-gathering activities along the Israel-Lebanon border. The military confirmed that both terrorists were members of Hezbollah's elite "Radwan Force," a unit known for its infiltration and intelligence missions against Israel.
According to the IDF, the first strike targeted a Hezbollah terrorist operating in the area of Meiss El Jabal in southern Lebanon. This individual was reportedly gathering critical intelligence for Hezbollah, focusing on Israeli border positions. Using unmanned aerial vehicles, the IDF was able to accurately identify and neutralize the operative before he could relay sensitive information back to the terror organization.
Later the same day, a second airstrike in the same vicinity eliminated another Hezbollah member who was similarly engaged in surveillance and intelligence collection activities. The IDF emphasized that both strikes were part of its ongoing campaign to dismantle terrorist threats along the northern frontier and to disrupt Hezbollah’s efforts to strengthen its operational capabilities near Israeli territory.
“These targeted strikes demonstrate the IDF’s commitment to safeguarding the sovereignty of Israel and ensuring the safety of its citizens,” an IDF spokesperson stated. “We will continue to act decisively against any attempts by Hezbollah to gather intelligence or execute attacks from Lebanese soil.”
The Radwan Force, often described as Hezbollah’s special forces unit, has been heavily involved in cross-border operations and has maintained a persistent presence along the Blue Line, the internationally recognized border between Israel and Lebanon. Israeli military officials have long warned of Hezbollah’s strategy to entrench itself near the border and exploit intelligence operations as a precursor to future attacks.
Tensions between Israel and Hezbollah have remained high in recent months, with frequent exchanges of fire and escalating skirmishes across the border. Thursday’s airstrikes are the latest in a series of pre-emptive measures by Israel to counteract Hezbollah's buildup of military infrastructure in southern Lebanon, despite international calls for restraint.
The IDF reiterated its warning to Hezbollah, stating that any attempts to harm Israeli security forces or civilians will be met with a swift and forceful response.
