Bereaved parents at Mount Herzl: We won't let extremists burn the state down

In a statement at the national memorial site, where the nation's greats are buried, parents of fallen IDF soldiers also had a message for Sinwar: It's only a matter of time until we eliminate you.

With tensions mounting following a protest turned riot near the Prime Minister's Residence this week, a group of bereaved parents of fallen IDF soldiers gathered at Mount Herzl and issued a statement today (Thursday) calling for unity, decrying extremism, and eliminating Hamas:

The statement begins: "We have come here, bereaved families, to Mount Herzl - the sacred mountain, the heroes' mountain, to visit the graves of our sons who fell in defense of the country. We came here to stand before you and reassert our commitment that we will continue the war for the land they so loved."

The parents then condemned extremists protesting the government: "We will not allow extremists to burn down the country and harm police officers and symbols of government. This vocal minority will not succeed in tearing apart Israeli society this time. We simply won't let it."

Regarding Hamas and especially Sinwar, they said: "It's only a matter of time until we eliminate you once and for all."
