The Givati Brigade's combat team continues to operate in the Gaza Strip under the command of the 162nd Division, hunting down terrorists and terrorist infrastructure.
The forces located a tunnel shaft leading to a tunnel where Yahalom combat engineers operation. The tunnel itself was half a kilometer long and dozens of meters deep with corridors and residence rooms.
An encounter with terrorists near the shaft led to the deaths of three soldiers operating in the area.
After mapping out the contours of the shaft and the tunnel, both were demolished by the IDF.
