GOLANI MOVES NORTH: IDF Chief Shifts Golani Fighters From Gaza to Crush Hezbollah Offensive
IDF Chief Eyal Zamir redeploys the Golani Brigade from Gaza to the Lebanese border as Hezbollah attacks intensify during Day 12 of Operation Roaring Lion.

On the 12th day of Operation "Roaring Lion," IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir has ordered the immediate redeployment of the Golani Brigade’s Combat Team from the Southern Command in Gaza to the Northern Command. The veteran "Brown Brigade" will join the Givati Brigade currently holding the line in South Lebanon.
The move follows a week of intensified Hezbollah attacks on IDF outposts and ground forces operating within Lebanese territory. Recent strikes have resulted in the deaths of two Engineering Corps soldiers and the wounding of 15 Givati soldiers, five of whom are in serious condition. Among the wounded is the son of Minister Bezalel Smotrich.
Official Statement from the IDF Spokesperson:
"Following a situational assessment of Operation 'Roaring Lion' led by Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, the decision was made to reinforce the Northern Command. The Golani Brigade Combat Team will transition from the Southern Command to the North. Further reinforcements will be decided upon according to ongoing assessments. The IDF will continue to act with force against Hezbollah, which has chosen to join the conflict under the auspices of the Iranian terror regime."
