IDF special forces successfully apprehended Mahmoud al-Bana, one of the most wanted terrorists in Judea and Samaria, in Shechem (Nablus) on Tuesday.

Al-Bana, a former leader of the "Lions' Den" terrorist group, had previously surrendered to the Palestinian Authority, which later released him. However, he remained a high-priority target for Israeli forces due to his involvement in numerous terror activities.

According to security sources reported by Galai Tzahal (IDF Radio), during the arrest operation, al-Bana attempted to flee the scene. In response, IDF soldiers fired at his legs, wounding him before taking him into custody.

Footage shared on Arab social media reveals that the arrest was conducted using covert tactics. Special forces disguised themselves as Palestinian Arabs and drove a Palestinian Authority vehicle to the location, allowing them to surprise and quickly capture the wanted terrorist.
