UK Controversy? Tommy Robinson Declares Israel 'Can't Give Up on Judea and Samaria'
British activist Tommy Robinson visits Judea and Samaria, declares Israel must maintain control of the territory. Tour highlights strategic importance and security concerns in the region.
British activist and political figure Tommy Robinson completed a high-profile visit to the Samaria Regional Council today, touring strategic points alongside Israeli officials and emphatically declaring that Israel "cannot give up this territory."
Robinson, a prominent voice against radical Islam in the UK, was hosted by Samaria Regional Council Head Yossi Dagan and Minister of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Amichai Chikli.
During a briefing at the 'Balcony of the State' lookout in Peduel, which offers a commanding view of central Israel, Dagan stressed the existential threat faced by both Israel and the West.
“We are the appetizer, you are the steak,” Dagan told Robinson, referencing the threat of radical Islam. “Our sovereignty here is the security of Europe. Ultimately, England and Europe need to know that we are the aperitif, but you, unfortunately, are the main course of radical Islam.”
The Strategic Importance of Samaria
Dagan provided Robinson with a detailed overview of the strategic and historical significance of Judea and Samaria, highlighting the narrow geographical "waistline" of Israel at this point.
Robinson, looking out over the coastal plain, echoed the sentiment, stating:
“I am in solidarity with you. When I stand here, it is clear why Israel needs to control this territory. It is easy to understand the importance of this place, and I know what you are dealing with; I know the threat you are facing.”
Minister Chikli affirmed the Israeli government’s intent:
“We want full sovereignty over all of Area C and the open territories, not just the settlements themselves.”
Outrage Over 'Pay-for-Slay'
The visit took an emotional turn when Robinson was told the story of Tzalla Gaz, Hy"d (May God Avenge Her Blood), who was fatally shot on her way to the delivery room.
Dagan explained to Robinson that the Palestinian Authority (PA) pays salaries to those who murder Jews, often five times the salary of a PA teacher, meaning Gaz's murderer is being financially rewarded.
Robinson expressed shock at the revelation, focusing his condemnation on the European countries that fund the PA.
“The most insulting thing is that we, the citizens of England and Europe, are paying the salary of that murderer who murdered Tzalla Gaz, a woman who was on her way to give birth in the hospital, with our taxes,” Robinson said. “And it is more insulting that France and Britain recognized the Palestinian Authority that pays murderers.”
The visit underscores the growing relationship between pro-Israel sentiment in Europe and the political leadership in the Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria.
