Suspect Neutralized Near Kedumim
An individual was shot and neutralized early Monday morning at the entrance to the settlement of Kedumim in Samaria after being suspected of attempting to harm IDF soldiers, Israeli journalists reported. According to initial reports by Amit Segal, the suspect approached the area in a manner that raised concern of an imminent attack. IDF forces on site responded by opening fire. No soldiers or civilians were injured, and the circumstances of the incident were immediately placed under investigation. Military correspondent Doron Kadosh later clarified that the incident was initially treated as a suspected stabbing attempt. However, subsequent checks indicated that the individual was **not Palestinian**. In a further update, Kadosh reported that the person shot was a **16-year-old Israeli Jewish citizen**, and that authorities now assess the incident was **not a terror attack**. The youth is believed to be suffering from mental health issues. Security forces continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
