The intensive investigation was launched following complaints filed by several victims against the suspect, who is employed as a teacher at a school in the city of Safed.
The suspect was arrested several days ago, on May 19, 2026. Since his arrest, he has been brought before the Safed Magistrate's Court multiple times, where his detention was extended periodically for investigative purposes. Currently, the suspect’s detention is extended until Monday, while police continue to gather additional evidence.
The police have appealed to the wider public, requesting that anyone who believes they fell victim to the suspect's actions, or who possesses relevant information regarding similar incidents, report immediately to the nearest police station to file an official complaint. Police emphasize that this is a sensitive and complex investigation, and cooperation from potential additional victims is critical to establishing the full picture of what happened.
