Emily in Paris' Chef Gabriel Swaps Paris for Tel Aviv and He’s Loving Every ‘Motek’ Minute!
Netflix heartthrob Lucas Bravo has swapped the Eiffel Tower for the Tel Aviv shoreline. From striking a pose with Yael Shelbia for Renuar to a long-awaited "IRL" meeting with his Israeli therapist, the Emily in Paris chef is serving serious main-character energy in the Holy Land.

Lucas Bravo, the charming French actor who plays Chef Gabriel in Netflix’s Emily in Paris, touched down in Tel Aviv on Sunday, February 9, and he’s clearly having the time of his life. The star is in Israel to shoot a fresh denim campaign for popular local fashion brand Renuar, posing alongside Israeli supermodel Yael Shelbia.
This isn’t his first gig with an Israeli label, he fronted a summer campaign for another Israeli brand about four years ago.
But the trip isn’t just work. Lucas has been gushing about finally meeting his Israeli therapist in person after months of Zoom sessions. He called her “the best” and made it clear he was excited to see her on her home turf.
He’s also squeezing in some proper tourism, telling reporters he wants to do some sightseeing and is dying to try a Michelin-star restaurant while he’s here.
On set, the Frenchman has been charming everyone by throwing around Hebrew words like “motek” (sweetie) and Israelis are eating it up.
Local media can’t get enough of the visit. Both Israel Hayom and The Jerusalem Post ran warm stories about the shoot, and fans have been flocking to meet him. Many are calling the Emily in Paris heartthrob a total “mensch” for showing up in Israel with such good vibes.
Bonjour from Tel Aviv, Lucas, keep the good energy coming!
